More likely they hope you’re so weak that you will get sucked in and addicted again. Hopefully you know better.

Well it would be nice if Blizzard had a concept of customer loyalty and offered some free game time to existing customers. Not because they should just give free stuff, but to try make up for the endless server restarts and shutdowns that have plagued the game since Cat was released. It wont make up for it really, but as a gesture of goodwill to paying customers it would go a long way.
But of course, they seem to mostly be interested in customers when they lose them. And that, my friends, is a sure way to lose customers.

Well said. But doesn’t Blizzard typically give free time for server downtime, other than planned maintenance?
I know I’ve gotten my fair share of free days because of unplayable conditions.
