About
I picked up World of Warcraft in July of 2005. I had just started going to school to get my Bachelor’s in Computer Science and a few of my roommates were playing it; it looked fun. This is my first MMORPG and I’ve loved every minute of it. I’ve experienced the entire spectrum of playstyles from hardcore to casual and I have even decided to stop playing for short periods of time. I’ve had three main characters since I’ve started playing, one for each major release of the game.
Wrath of the Lich King
Sarama, Night Elf Warrior, Tichondrius
I first started playing Sarama during one of my breaks from school in Vanilla, where I literally played World of Warcraft for 20 hours a day, 7 days a week and had nothing else to do except raid on Qwik. I leveled this character and stopped after awhile since my break was over. I revisited him towards the end of The Burning Crusade when I didn’t have a whole lot of time to raid and slowly got him to max level. I hit level 80 on October 10th, 2009 (I told you it was a slow grind).
The Burning Crusade
Lask, Gnome Rogue, Tichondrius
Lask originally started out as a twink character, however I really enjoyed the Rogue “smash-and-grab” playstyle and ended up leveling to max level and raiding in The Burning Crusade. I raided Karazhan, Gruul’s Lair, Magtheridon’s Lair, and began to raid Serpentshrine Cavern when I graduated from college and quit raiding for a little bit while things in real life stabalized.
I ended up getting a job, as well as a girlfriend, and didn’t have a whole lot of time to raid. So, I played pretty casually and leveled up some alts.
Lask is now known as Redgrid on Tichondrius.
Vanilla
Qwik, Gnome Warlock, Tichondrius
Qwik was my first character and I had a blast playing a warlock. I was in a very friendly guild called Shaolin Temple and had 30+ days played when I finally achieved level 60. I was level 60 for quite awhile before I actually started raiding and I’m still not quite sure how I got to that point. Somehow I got to know some people in the best guilds on my server and began running in an alt raid. I ran through Molten Core, Blackwing Lair, Ahn’Qiraj (up to C’thun) and ran some Naxxaramas, as well. I’ll always have a place in my heart for Qwik, he’s my baby and my mini-me (he’s bald).
Towards the end of Vanilla, shortly before The Burning Crusade was released, I began playing my Rogue and ran through Molten Core and Blackwing Lair on her.
Qwik is now known as Fogell on Kalecgos.
